  • We’re excited to introduce Vault Learning Games. This is a new, free library of classroom-ready digital games for grades 3–12, curated by educators, researchers, and designers from dozens of studios. The Vault Library is funded and built at the University of Wisconsin in collaboration with the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction.

This is a publicly funded educational initiative. We are not a company, not a product, and never designed to market to kids.

Good games are great for learning

Vault is built on the belief that games can help students think deeply, not just play passively. There are so many amazing learning games available, but they are scattered around the internet and many of them are impossible to find.

    Why now?

Because too many great game collections are disappearing or going behind paywalls. Last year, BrainPOP’s GameUp project was shut down and the only other collections are run by for-profit companies. We believe that teachers need well-curated and free resources.

    What makes Vault different?

    • Completely Free No ads, no logins, no sales funnel
    • Playable on Chromebooks, tested for low-bandwidth environments
    • Curated and reviewed by educators and learning scientists
    • Aligned to meaningful learning goals across content areas

Every game in Vault is selected for classroom use, not entertainment value alone. This is a resource built for schools, not as an afterthought.
