WELCOME BACK!

GO BULLDOGS!
Welcome back for the 2021-2022 school year!

I am starting my 9th year at Garvy teaching Primary Resource Special Education in the subjects of English Language Arts, Math, Science, Social Studies and Health.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Western Illinois University in 2012.

This school year, I am the chair for Student Council.
I plan to coach volleyball, basketball, floor hockey and I hope to coach Girls On the Run for my 8th year!

When I am not working, I enjoy playing softball year round; 1 league during the winter, 5 softball leagues during the spring/summer + a handful of tournaments, and 4 leagues during the fall -- all differ in what ball; 16 inch, 14 inch hard ball and 14 inch mushball.

I also enjoy bowling with my family/friends for a once a month league.

I love taking my dog Crosby (Pitbull Mastiff) for walks in the mornings and then playing with him when I get home from work.

Over the past year, I have looked into rescuing a kitten. No shelter would let me adopt due to the type of dog Crosby is. I was able to rescue a kitten from a friends backyard. He is 8 weeks old and his name is Loki (the God of Mischief) and by golly the name suits him.

I am so excited to begin this school year and to experience all the new adventures this school year brings!

Any questions, comments or concerns please do not hesitate to email me.

Love,
Ms. Cavanaugh
