Halle Uhler » Hello!

Hello!

My name is Halle Uhler and this is my third year teaching at Garvy School. I am excited to start my twelfth school year working as a special education teacher in Chicago Public Schools. This year I will be supporting diverse learner students in the kindergarten and fifth grade. I hold Bachelor's Degrees in Public Policy and Gender Studies from DePaul University, a Master's Degree in Elementary Education from DePaul University and a Master's Certificate in Special Education from Roosevelt University.

Originally from Ohio, I moved to Chicago in the spring of 2000 and have called it my home since then. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family, which includes my husband and our two children. Our little family also includes two cats and a very snuggly dog. We like to stay busy by going on hikes, visiting the zoo, reading a lot of books and enjoying the outdoors as much as we can. I am an avid listener of music, enjoy crime related podcasts and weekend brunch dates with friends.
