Staff Shout-out: Our staff shout out form is back! I want to provide a  space for parents to show their gratitude for our hardworking staff. Level I & Level II Volunteer Application Process: All individuals who are interested in volunteering (includes chaperoning field trips) must be approved by CPS. Depending on the level of volunteering you plan to do, you will be asked to complete an application for either a “Level I” or “Level II” volunteer.
NEW: Volunteer services will send parents an email with instructions about a required CPS volunteer training. This is a new step required after being approved at the school level.

 The end of school year is almost here and that means it is time for our annual Field Days. See the dates and times below. The PE Department is asking for volunteers to assist during the fun and games. If you are available to volunteer, you can also contact Mr. Dewitt [email protected] or Mrs. Colon [email protected]. Please note that you must be an authorized CPS volunteer.

 Congratulations to the graduating Class of 2026! Completing your elementary journey is no small achievement; it reflects your hard work, growth, and perseverance. As you head towards high school, take pride in all you’ve accomplished and look ahead with confidence and curiosity. We have prepared you for the next steps. The whole school is proud of you! Once a Bulldog, Always a Bulldog!
Senior Sign Off Day
LAST CALL: Senior Sign Off Day is this Wednesday, May 27th in the afternoon. We are in search of Garvy alumni who are graduating from high school this year to come back and speak with our graduating 8th graders. We look forward to the seniors sharing their high school experiences. If you have or know of a Garvy alum who is a graduating from high school this spring, please have them contact Ms. Stanis or Mr. Cohen our school counselors, via email [email protected] and [email protected]
Culture & Climate Foam Party
The Garvy Culture and Climate team is hosting our annual End of the Year Foam party. Students in grades K-5 will participate on Tuesday, June 2nd in the afternoon. This event is graciously sponsored by the Garvy PTA. Please have your students bring a change of clothes and a towel. If they did not turn in a permission form, they will not be allowed to participate.
The Adopt-a-Classroom Committee would like to thank Garvy teachers, staff, parents, and students for a very successful fundraising effort this year. Our Walk-a-Thon raised over $13,000 this year! We are so grateful for your support, the funds will help purchase mathbooks for the classrooms!

Please complete the information below by Friday, May 22nd.
