IMPORTANT REMINDERS!!!
Beginning the first day of school we will have our kiss-n-go up and running on Oak Park and Rutherford Avenues. Oak Park moves northbound only and Rutherford moves southbound only. There will be large orange cones located where our kiss-n-go parents will open car doors so students can exit vehicles safely. There is NO PARKING or STOPPING on Oak Park and Rutherford between 8:15-8:30 A.M.
The school day begins at 8:30 A.M. with supervision beginning at 8:15 A.M. outside on school grounds. Kindergarten and 1st grade students enter Door 5, lining up next to the turf in two lines, one for students and one for the accompanying adult. Kindergarten and 1st grade students enter the building beginning at 8:20 A.M. 2nd through 4th grade students enter Door 8, lining up next to the gymnasium in marked areas, and enter the building beginning at 8:25 A.M. 5th through 7th grade students line up on the basketball courts and enter through Door 4 beginning at 8:23 A.M.
If a student arrives to school later than 8:32 A.M., they are to report to Door 7 to receive a tardy pass before reporting to class. The Pledge of Allegiance plays at 8:35 A.M. sharp and the school day begins. Any students who are tardy three times within a quarter will receive a pyramid and will miss Fun Friday. This also applies to pick-up at the end of the school day. Students exit the doors they enter in the morning, with Kindergarten leaving at 3:20 P.M. If a student in Kindergarten or 1st grade is being picked up by a sibling in another grade, that student can pick them up in Room 104 after they are dismissed.
Students who are not picked up on time will also receive a pyramid and after three instances will miss Fun Friday. We understand that there may be extenuating circumstances, however if child care is needed before 8:15 A.M. or after 3:30 P.M., Right at School offers services beginning at 7:00 A.M. and after school until 6:00 P.M.
