Mrs. Correa - Music Appreciation

I am so excited to join the Garvy community! I am from San Antonio, Texas and attended Northwestern State University of Louisiana. I received my Bachelor’s in Music Education K-12 with an emphasis in Instrumental Music. I previously worked on the South Side in CPS. I love southern food, the outdoors, and spending time with my two kitties!

In this class, students will learn the basics of music creation and performance. We work on many aspects of music, including singing, playing various instruments, reading music, exploring music and technology, music genres, and more. This school year, I teach the even grade levels (K, 2, 4, 6, & 8) in the first semester and the odd grade levels (1, 3, 5, & 7) in the second semester.
