I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to kindergarten! As always, the start of a school year holds the promise of new discoveries and learning, as well as personal growth in all areas. 

 

I have been teaching at Garvy since 2002. Apart from Garvy, I have taught in another school in CPS. My experiences include teaching kindergarten, first grade, and fourth grade, as well as a Reading Specialist at another school in CPS. I have taught many diverse learners throughout my career and thrive in finding ways to challenge my students. Garvy has been my home away from home. Apart from receiving my bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Sociology, I also hold my Master’s of Science in Instruction in Language Arts from Northeastern Illinois University. I have my Middle School Endorsement in Language Arts and Social Sciences.
