Dear Garvy Families,
Garvy School is truly the Pride of the Northwest Side and I am extremely proud to serve as the principal of this amazing school.
Education is my life's work. I've been dedicated to the children of Chicago Public Schools for over 23 years. I was an ELA and Social Science teacher for 15 years in schools across the city, I was the Resident Principal at Garvy School in 2015, and I served proudly as Garvy’s Assistant Principal from 2017 to 2021.
For the last few years, I have dedicated myself to continuing the Garvy legacy of academic excellence by building strong relationships with parents, students, staff, and community partners. Together we will continue to focus on key data points to inform high-quality instruction and provide the students and staff with a world-class learning environment.
I wholeheartedly believe that Garvy’s successes are the result of great teachers (both at school and at home). Please know that my door is always open to you. I welcome the conversation and your positive input throughout this year. The relationships between family and school are vital to the success of our students, so I encourage you to become involved in every way possible.
